Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis

Hibiscus flowers are great for adding a tropical feel to the UK and this variety with large yellow blooms is quite the showstopper. Admittedly, this isn’t a plant suitable for all environments. It is a tender hibiscus in the UK and will not tolerate temperatures below 10°C so is best spending most months as a houseplant. To guarantee maximum flowering (May-October) they are best kept in a warm conservatory or greenhouse that gives them plenty of sunlight. In warm summer months it will be happy to spend time outdoors but make sure to bring inside before temperatures drop! Give it plenty of food and water regularly when the top inch of soil feels dry, and it will thrive (they can eventually grow to 2 metres tall).
 
Flowers only last 1/2 days but the plant produces so many buds that there are usually flowers on display. Due to this, plants on arrival may only have new buds/spent flowers.
