Gardenia jasminoides

Gardenia is one of the most renowned plants for scent. It is heavily scented with a delightfully floral fragrance and luckily it flowers continuously throughout summer and autumn. 
Although suitable for most rooms, it is a great conservatory plant as this gives it the sunlight it needs to flower but protects it from colder outdoor temperatures over winter months. Gardenia won’t tolerate temperatures below 10°C so can be moved outside in summer months but must be brought inside when temperatures drop again. Keep indoors in a bright and airy room and water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Feed over the spring-autumn months when you see lots of new glossy foliage appearing.
